Vox Brussels Photo Voices 2026
VOX – Brussels Photo Voices
VOX – Brussels Photo Voices is an inclusive photography event launched in 2025 by CORPUS | CORPUS, a platform created by photographers for photographers. The festival aims to make photography more accessible, visible, and diverse by creating spaces for exchange between artists, cultural venues, and audiences across Brussels.
The first edition, held from 21 February to 8 March 2025 around the theme Body Matters, brought together 10 international, emerging and established photographers across 4 exhibition venues in Ixelles and Etterbeek. It offered audiences an artistic journey through the city, bringing together diverse photographic practices, perspectives, and narratives.
True to its participatory and bottom-up approach, VOX relies in part on open calls that allow photographers to propose their own exhibition projects. This approach encourages a diverse programme while giving artists an active role in shaping the festival.
VOX 2026 — Body of Evidence
The second edition of VOX will take place throughout November 2026, around the theme Body of Evidence.
The project explores the instability of the notion of evidence by shifting it towards the human body, understood as a living archive of traces, memories, and contradictions. Between visibility and interpretation, Body of Evidence questions the norms that make certain bodies legible, identifiable, or credible.
The exhibition invites us to consider the image not as a definitive truth, but as a space of uncertainty in which the viewer becomes an interpreter.
VOX ON & VOX OFF
VOX 2026 is structured around two complementary formats.
VOX ON is the festival’s official curated exhibition, dedicated to the theme Body of Evidence.
VOX OFF opens the festival to all photographers and photography-based collectives, whether professional or amateur, regardless of age or nationality. Participants are invited to find their own exhibition space — a gallery, cultural centre, shop, café, restaurant, studio, community space, or even their own home — and to freely develop their project, from image selection to exhibition design.
Participation is completely free of charge.
This approach allows VOX to move beyond the traditional framework of a photography festival and create a constellation of exhibitions across Brussels, turning the city itself into a photographic territory.
A Platform for Diversity
VOX welcomes a broad range of photographic practices — analogue, digital, experimental, hybrid, or AI-generated — and encourages the coexistence of different perspectives, generations, cultures, and artistic sensibilities.
More than a festival, VOX aims to create an open artistic ecosystem where photographers can present their work, engage with audiences, expand their professional networks, and develop new collaborations.
Inclusion, diversity, and artistic freedom are at the heart of the project. You didn’t come this far to stop
